Engagement Models

You can bring a defined project, reserve a number of hours each month, or work with me as an ongoing external product and engineering partner.

The right model depends on the problem, not on a fixed package. If you are not sure which fits, we can figure it out together.

Collaboration

Three ways to work together.

The goal is the same in each case: understand the problem, choose a practical approach, and execute the work.

Defined Projects

A specific problem, feature, product, integration, or improvement with a desired outcome

For work that has a clear goal — a new product or MVP, an improvement to something that already exists, a technical fix, an internal tool, or an automation project. Scope, deliverables, ownership, and handover are defined before work begins.

What's included
  • New product or MVP development
  • Existing product improvements
  • Technical fixes and integrations
  • Internal tools and dashboards
  • Automation of repetitive processes

I use AI where it speeds up exploration, implementation, or testing — as a multiplier, not as the thing being sold.

A good fit when

You have something specific to build, fix, or improve, even if the technical details are not fully defined yet.

Monthly Hours / Retainer

A defined number of hours each month for ongoing technical work

Reserve monthly capacity for development, maintenance, improvements, troubleshooting, reviews, or planning. Work is prioritized according to what matters that month. Support is structured around agreed capacity, priorities, and response expectations.

What's included
  • Hours agreed in advance each month
  • Work prioritized by current business needs
  • Development, fixes, reviews, and technical planning
  • Useful for teams that need recurring senior help
  • Additional hours can be discussed if the workload grows

Capacity, response time, and priority are agreed separately from the number of hours. Buying hours does not mean unlimited or emergency support.

A good fit when

You need recurring technical help without hiring a full-time person, and you want the work to follow current priorities.

External Product & Engineering Partner

An ongoing B2B extension of your team

Work with me over time on product decisions, technical direction, implementation, reviews, and continuous improvement — without a full-time hire. Support is structured around agreed capacity, priorities, and response expectations.

What's included
  • Ongoing product development
  • Technical direction and architecture
  • Feature planning and implementation
  • Code and system reviews
  • Coordination with founders, product teams, or agencies
  • Long-term product and system improvement

This is useful when you need a reliable technical counterpart: a founder who needs an engineering partner, a team that needs extra senior capacity, or a product that needs ownership without a full-time technical lead.

A good fit when

You want a long-term partner who can move between product thinking, architecture, development, and practical delivery.

How we decide the structure

I work with companies on a B2B basis — for a defined project, a monthly retainer of agreed hours, or an ongoing partnership.

Monthly hours are capacity agreed in advance and used on current priorities. They are not unlimited availability, emergency coverage, or an on-call service.

We agree the model, the scope of involvement, and how we communicate before work starts.

If the situation is still unclear, start with a conversation. We do not need a complete specification first.

Not sure which model fits?

Tell me what you need to improve, build, automate, or solve — we can figure out the engagement from there.
